Junkie (2013) is quite a twisted and vulgar exploration of drug culture, this low-budget entry from Adam Mason (Blood Rover) was fun from start to finish but be forewarned the humor can be pretty crude and may not suit all tastes, however, if you're not easily offended this is gonna be quite entertaining. Danny (Daniel Louis Rivas) and Nicky (Robert LaSardo) are drug addicts, Danny has grown tired of is crusty-lifestyle and wants to clean-up his act and get back together with his ex-girlfriend but his brother Nicky is a tattooed-nightmare jonesing for his next fix and he makes Danny's life a living Hell.

The pace is fast and furious and it gets a bit absurd from time to time with vulgarity and zaniness, but it's about drug-culture so you gotta expect some moments of unreality, at times I was unsure what was reality-based and what was a drug-induced hallucination, a very strange psychological mind-fuck with some very solid performances, if you enjoy Fight Club (1999) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) you will most likely dig on this, check it out.
The DVD from Indiecan Entertainment features a few neat extras including a commentary with Director Adam Mason, co-writer Simon Boyes, actor/producer Daniel Louis Rivas and Producer Charisse Sanzo, a behind-the-scenes featurette, screens trailers and photo gallery. 3 Outta 5
