Cast: Angela Lansbury, William Windom, Tom Bosley
Murder, She Wrote was a mystery/detective series that aired on TV from 1984-1986, in it Angela Lansbury starred as mystery writer and amateur detective Jessica Fletcher based in the coastal town of Cabot Cove, Maine, and four twelve seasons she found herself caught-up in solving a murders both close to home and on travels around the country and world. I used to watch this show with my Grandma Cooper all the time, in a house that only had one TV you let grandma watch the few shows she ever truly wanted to watch, to my recollection she only ever watched this, some daytime soaps, the new, Lawrence Welk, and Matlock. The show would start with Jessica saying "Tonight on Murder, She Wrote...", setting up what you are about to see, and it was a pretty fun show, I would credit it with my early love of murder mysteries for sure, very much along the lines of an Agatha Christie or an Inspector Poirot. Recurring supporting cast includes Tom Bosley (TV's Happy Days) as Sheriff Amos Tupper, William Windom (The Mephisto Waltz) as Dr. Seth Hazlitt. and Ron Masak (Laserblast) as Sheriff Mort Metzger, replacing Bosley after he passed in 1991. Re-watching select episodes proved to be quite a star-spotting bit of fun, when I first saw the show I didn't always recognize the guest stars, some of whom where stars already or went onto bigger and better things, a few with horror cred that I spotted were Kevin McCarthy (Invasion of the Body Snatchers), Carroll Baker (Orgasmo), John Saxon (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Martin balsam (Psycho), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Barbi Benton (X-Ray), Ruth Roman (Impulse), Bradford Dillman (The Swarm), Linda Blair (Savage Streets), Karen Black (Burnt Offerings), John Amos (The Beastmaster), Bernie Casey (Dr. Black, Mr. Hyde), and Julie Adams (Creature from the Black Lagoon). There were tons more that were more familiar but these stood out this time around. This massive 62-disc set includes all 264 episodes, plus the four made-for-TV films that aired after the regular series. These episodes were all shot on film and look fantastic, I was pretty amazed how great they looked actually, plus we get uncompressed audio. Each season gets it's own keepcase, and the four film are housed together in another dedicated keepcase. The seasons range from 21-24 episodes per season and the season sets are spread across 5 discs, housed in a clear oversized keepcase with two sets of flipper trays housing the discs. The reverse side of the wraps feature an episode listing and bonus content. The seasons are color-coded, a different color for each season, and these are housed inside a slipbox, which is batter built that a lot of the season sets I have seen, but give how heavy and bulky this set is I would have appreciated a rigid slipbox, what we get is heavy cardstock, and it looks terrific, but be careful moving it around, I could easily see it tearing while moving it, or carelessly handling it. The extras are pretty weak, only one really addresses the show directly, while the others are more 70s pop culture overviews that only highlight the show., but we do get the Magnum P.I. crossover episode, so that's cool. I wish the slipbox were better and the extras were more interesting, but if you are a fan of this set it looks and sounds fantastic, recommended, this is a terrific set.

007: SEAN CONNERY 6-FILM COLLECTION (1962-1971)
6-Disc 4K Ultra HD + Digital
Finally, all six of the James Bond films starring Sean Connery are available to own on 4K Ultra HD, which is good news for me, because Connery in my estimation, was, is and will always be the epitome of what Bond should be, rugged, flawed, sexually charged, and charismatic. This 6-disc 6-film set brings together Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever, all newly scanned in 4K with HDR10 and Dolby Vision compatible color-grades and Dolby Atmos audio, plus a wealth of archival extras. The set is available as a limited edition Steelbook set, which is getting increasing harder to come by, or as a standard release version, the latter of which is what I have. This comes in an oversized black keepcase with a set of two double-sided flipper trays housing the discs. We get a single-sided sleeve of artwork, plus a Slipcover witht he same artwork with metallic highlights. I am not a huge fan of the artwork which looks like torn swatches of vintage movie posters pasted together, but its servable, and what matter for me is the A/V presentation, and these are bangers. grain is present with organic looking textures and fine detail, colors are well-saturated, with wonderful depth and clarity. Connery's 007 flicks have never looked this impressive, nor sounded as good, as they do with these new 4K restorations. The xtras are also quite plentiful, I would say they carry-over the beefiest extras, but there are odds and ends missing from past editions, but I would say that the most significant of them are present here,

Erwin C. Dietrich’s The Young Seducers (1971) opens with a roomful of tabloid reporters brainstorming in their editor's office for a new series of salacious articles, they've come around to the idea of an expose about horny teen girls who have taken advantage of older men. As the film unfolds each of the men (and one woman) tell a story loosely related to under aged sex-vixens with raging libidos whom have taken advantage of older, well-meaning men who are duped into having sex with them... oh brother! In the #metoo era a film like this would ever see the light of day, but if were being honest even in '71 this wasn't seen all that much outside of a few flea pit cinemas I would imagine. As usual Swiss producer Erwin C. Dietrich (Rolls Royce Baby) brings his breezy sexploitation directorial touch to this naughty softcore romp.
The set-ups here aren't all that important to your enjoyment but they are fun in a ridiculous male fantasy sort of way, it opens with a promiscuous girl in a bikini on the beach who meets a painter, she talks her way back to his studio and begins modeling for him, before you know it she's naked - imagine that! - he fights her off as best he can, but he's only a man after all, and well, you know what happens next. Other assorted tales include a school girl who attempts to seduce her chemistry teacher after feigning a suicide attempt, a young girl tempting her piano teacher onto a lesbian tryst, and a gas station that offers truly full-service, with the option to bang a chick in a makeshift bed kept in the garage! That one has a nice sex scene intercut with a fueling scene wherein the gas overflows from the fuel-inlet, it's goofy and fun stuff. Other middle-aged male fantasies include fairytale type narrated story of a girl in search of what she called "the big p", and the story of a stud soccer player who catches the eye of a blond beauty when they wind up at the same electronics shop, he's looking for a new hi-fi stereo, while she whips out a vibrator looking for some longer-lasting batteries - you'd think the film was shot in 3-D the way she pushes it out towards the audience, now wouldn't that have been something!?!
This premise of teenage girls sexually victimizing men might sound super inappropriate on paper (and it is), but it's handled so carefree and venomless that it's just comes across a fun sex-romp without being dark, just another fun nudey film with loads of gorgeous European women from start to finish, if your a fan of the Schulmädchen-Report (Schoolgirl Report) films this is right along those lines.

in this sequel we get more frothy lighthearted sex romps spread out in an episodic manner, this time we have an smut magazine as the framework for the kinky stuff, just like the first film the premise is paper thin, but, you know, gorgeous nude women and eyefuls upon eyefulls of boobs and crotches.

In the third film Ingrid Steeger plays a girl on the run from her boarding school, she's picked-up while hitchhiking and relays her horny tales of sexual adventures and conquests at school to her enraptured male driver, and of course it's chockful of softcore sex-romps and implausible sexual fantastis, I love dit of course. .
The Young Seducers trilogy here are fun, frothy 70s sex romp, they're ridiculous and wonderfully silly with some nice lensing and swinging scores, plus they are loaded with attractive European women from front to back! A truly entertaining trio of retro-sex trash from the legendary Erwin C. Dietrich, this one is available on DVD via Amazon and Full Moon Direct for under $10, with no HD upgrade in sight that's steal.
