Another quick comparison of the transfers of one of the films from the new Scream Factory release of Friday the 13th Collection (Deluxe Edition). This time comparing Friday the 13th Part II (1981), pitting the new 4K scan from scream Factory against the 2013 Blu-ray from Paramount.
The 2013 Paramount Blu-ray is incorrectly framed in 1.78:1 widecreen while the Scream Factory release maintains the original 1.85:1 theatrical exhibition aspect ratio, so we get a sliver more information along the edges with the Paramount release. That slight re-framing which reveals more info on the edges of the frame never bothered, but I am happy to see them properly framed from Scream Factory just the same.
