Tinto Brass's kinky softcore delight Cheeky! (2000) tells that tales of the stunning Venetian Carla (Yuliya Mayarchu, Go Go Tales) who travels to London for work, much to the chagrin of her jealous Italian boyfriend Matteo (Jarno Beradi), who doesn't quite trust his curvy sexpot girlfriend to stay faithful while out of his sight. His distrust is not without good reason, for as soon as Carla arrives in London she finds herself set upon by horny lesbian real estate agent Moira (Francesca Nunzi, Frivolous Lola) who is totally wild for the buxom Italian lass, offering her a sweet apartment in exchange for sexual considerations.
Carla does seem to genuinely love her boyfriend Mateo and sets out to remain faithful, but soon finds herself intrigued by the myriad of lovers who who throw themselves at her, including Moira's ex-husband Mario (Max Parodi, Frivolous Lola), which of course angers Moira quite a bit. Brass himself shows up as a cigar-chomping, finger-banging horny old man who operates a photo developer shop, and Carla finds her sampling of London lovers derailed when her jealous boyfriend shows up to make sure his girl has remained faithful after finding some nude pics of Carla among letters from her former lover Bernard (Mauro Lorenz), but of course upon arriving he finds a nude Moira hastily leaving the apartment.
This is very much along the lines of Frivolous Lola, a softcore sex comedy that is jubilant in it's exploration of casual sex, with Brass' eye firmly on star Yuliya Mayarch's stunning body, especially her lovely ass, naughty parts and playful upskirt sequences, after watching this I am pretty sure I could identify her asshole in a line-up as we see it so often. We also get the patented rubber-cock shots that pop-up in these Brass sex comedies, but no truly hardcore penetration, but it gets close and there are copious shots of genitalia throughout. Nude women abound in shot at bathhouses and showers, and it's all shot with that lush visual style that Brass is known for with another wonderful score from Pino Donaggio. When it comes to stylish and playful erotica no one combined the two like Tinto Brass, his eye for gorgeous European women, swanky locations and sizzling softcore visuals was unparalleled. So much sex is dripping off the screen here, there's sex in gondolas, a bit of anal on the beach, a massage finger-bang, the prerequisite bathroom hook-up, an orgy and quite a but more, if you're here for the carnal pleasures you will not be disappointed, and like Claudia Koll and Anna Ammirati before her I thought that Yuliya Mayarchu was absolutely stunning and quite charming. The way that Brass' voyeuristic camera lingers over her carnal beauty is quite a turn-on, the opening scenes of her walking through a park where everyone seems to be turned-on and horny and then turns the tables on a flasher at the park totally sets the kinky tone for this one.
Audio/Video: Cheeky! (2000) makes it's worldwide 4K UHD debut from Cult Epics presented in 2160p UHD framed in 1.66:1 widescreen, sourced from a 4K restoration from the original camera negative with HDR color-grading. The transfer looks wonderful, grain is intact and well-resolved, and the presentation is blemish free. Colors look terrific, warm skin tones and well saturated primaries, and black levels are solid. The film was shot with a bit of a soft-focus haze that ads to the male fantasy aesthetic, which looks quite pleasing but does sap the fine detail a tad, but that is an accurate reflection of the original filming and no fault of the transfer, and it looks better than ever on home video. The accompanying Blu-ray is also quite pleasing, grain is slightly less well-resolved and doesn't sport the HDR color-grade but still impresses, but the color temperature comes across slightly cooler.
Audio comes by way of English or Italian DTS-HD MA 2.0 in either mono or stereo options, for a total of four options with optional English subtitles. Both language are dubbed and sound terrific. Dialogue is always crisp and clear, and the Pino Donaggio (Frivolous Lola) score is outstanding.
Extras include another fantastic team-up Audio Commentary by Eugenio Ercolani & Nathaniel Thompson and 5-min of Trailers on both the 4UHD and Blu-ray, with all other extras relegated to the Blu-ray disc. On the Blu-ray we get a new 38-min Interview with cinematographer Massimo Di Venanzo; the 8-min archival Backstage with Tinto Brass (2000); a new 42-min Isolated Score by Pino Donaggio with uncompressed DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio, and a Photo Gallery with 21 titillating images.
The 2-disc UHD/BD arrives in a dual-hub black keepcase with a Reversible Wrap featuring both the English artwork and a "cheekier" uncensored Italian artwork with the Italian title, plus a 20-page Illustrated Booklet with a "The Cheeks of Controversy: Yuliya Mayarchuk and Tinto Brass" essay by Eugenio Ercolani and Domenico Monetti. Also tucked away inside are 4 Repro Italian Lobby Card Prints featuring the Italian title "Trasgredire". These are exclusive to the first-pressing, as is the Slipcover with it's own unique artwork.

Cheeky! (2000) is another stellar 4K UHD from Cult Epics showcasing the playful softcore sex comedy stylings of Tinto Brass, looking superior to previous home video releases by quite a margin, it's a wonderfully kinky watch, and comes highly recommended.
