Finally, all 12 seasons of the CBS sitcom Two and Half Men (2003-2015) arrives on Blu-ray as complete series set from Warner Bros, The series which is set at a Malibu's beach where elder brother Charlie Sheen (Men At Work) as Charlie Harper, a partying jingle writer, lives with his struggling younger bother Alan (Jon Cryer, Dudes) and Alan's young son Jake (Angus T. Jones) who moved in after his most recent divorce from Judith (Marin Hinkle, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), which is complicated by the fact that Charlie has a fling with Alan's divorce lawyer Laura Lang (Heather Locklear, The Return of Swamp Thing), and after jilting her she sabotages Alan's divorce, ensuring that he will be paying through the nose. The groundwork they set-up is ripe for plenty of humorous dynamics that emerge, the brothers have vastly different lifestyles, Charlie is a jerky bachelor, Alan a single father who just cannot get his life on track. the only constant in Charlies life is his housekeeper, Berta (Conchata Ferrell, Krampus), and they exploit all those relationship and family tribulation delightfully. Of course, it's was widely publicized that Sheen exited the show unceremoniously in season eight, replaced by Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher, That 70s Show), how they made the switch is pretty interesting, with the billionaire Walden becoming a surrogate uncle for young Jake, the show was funny, and at times even quite heart-warming. The 25-disc Bu-ray set arrives in a par of high-capacity DVD-sized Epik-Pak keepcase that slide into a sideloading slipcase. Not my favorite packaging by any means, but the discs are not stacked and the wraps feature and episode and extras guide printed on the reverse side, which I always appreciate, and the disc are color-coded by season. I have it made it through the whole set but so far the HD transfers looks good, and we get uncompressed DTS-HD MA audio with subtitles, and what looks to be all the single season collection extras.
