Two Disc Special Edition featuring films from producer-director Roger Corman is loaded with bonus features from Film Masters
Film Masters, whose mission is to celebrate the preservation of classic film by releasing high quality restorations, announces a Special Edition blu-ray release featuring two beloved cult classics for horror fans. A Bucket of Blood (1959), the dark-comedy starring Dick Miller, the accidental artist, shines in this new restoration from a 2K scan of 35mm archival elements. Dementia 13 presented in the original theatrical cut is newly restored in HD from original 35mm archival elements also receives an upgrade.
With supplemental materials from Something Weird Video, AGFA, and Trailers from Hell, this is a Halloween release suitable for any classic film fan. A Bucket of Blood is presented in two aspect ratios (1.85:1, theatrical and 1.33:1, an unrestored 16mm raw scan courtesy of SWV and AGFA) alongside its Trailers from Hell episode, hosted by Director Allan Arkush, and a reimagined theatrical trailer using newly restored footage.
Dementia 13’s disc also includes its Trailers from Hell episode, hosted by Director Mick Garris, and a reimagined theatrical trailer using newly restored footage. A new documentary about the legendary Jack Hill, filmmaker and long-time associate of Roger Corman, is provided courtesy of Ballyhoo Motion Pictures. Notable Monster Kid and film history expert Tom Weaver provides liner notes for both films in this release in a 16 page booklet.
