Texas, 1918, we meet Pearl Douglas, the daughter of German immigrants, who lives on the family farm, while her husband Howard (Alistair Sewell – The Power of the Dog) is away, fighting in the First World War. The young dreamer spends her days under the watchful eye of her overbearing mother, Ruth (Tandi Wright – Nothing Trivial, Creamierie), caring for her sick father (Matthew Sunderland – Out of the Blue, 6 Days), while longing to escape her hellish existence and find fame on the stage.
After meeting a handsome projectionist (David Corenswet – Superman, Twisters) at her local cinema, Pearl is encouraged to pursue her dreams and when the opportunity to audition for a touring dance company arrives, she is finally given the chance of a lifetime. However, as the romantic fantasy of glamorous stardom fades, obsession and violence consume Pearl, and her ambition knows no bounds, as she desperately attempts to prove that she’s a star.
With influences from The Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Norman Rockwell, Pearl is a vivid, psychological nightmare with stunning visuals and a romantic score, set amongst alligator infested lakes and decaying dreams. Fans will be screaming out for Pearl on Limited Edition as this glorious and gory dive into ambition,
isolation and murder gets the star treatment.

Modern horror icons Mia Goth (Frankenstein, Infinity Pool, Suspiria) and Ti West (The Sacrament, The Innkeepers)
reunite for a glamorous, gritty and gore-filled conclusion to the acclaimed X trilogy with MaXXXine, which now receives a star studded new Limited Edition Box Set release from the best in the business, Second Sight Films.
Goth once again cements herself as a magnetic screen presence with her show stopping performance as Maxine Minx. This seductive horror that pays tribute to Italian Giallo and eighties cinema with its satanic panic, pulp, seedy PIs, corrupt cops, thrilling showdowns and a visual feast of fluorescent colours. Lauded by The Hollywood Reporter as ‘a gleeful dive into retro movie tropes with vivid period evocation’ the film has gone on to become the highest-grossing film of the trilogy, and now MaXXXine Limited Edition 4K UHD Box Set is set to arrive on 17 November, alongside a Standard Edition.
Pulling out all the stops in its final outing, the film features a glowing A-List line-up that sees Kevin Bacon
(Footloose, Mystic River), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, The Usual Suspects), Elizabeth Debicki (The Crown, Tenet), Michelle Monaghan (Gone Baby Gone, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), Bobby Cannavale (Ant-Man, The Watcher), Halsey, Lily Collins (Mirror Mirror, Emily in Paris), Sophie Thatcher (Heretic, Companion) and Moses Sumney (The Idol), all give stellar performances.
The set is presented in a stunning rigid slipcase with new artwork by OC Agency Group and a fantastic 120-page
book featuring all new essays. Both editions come complete with a slew of special features including new interviews with the director, producer, cinematographer, production designer and much more. Please see the full list of features below.
Dive into the seedy underworld of 1980s Hollywood, where the streets are rife with sex, drugs, crime, murder and satanic panic. Amongst the young dreamers hoping to make it big is pornographic actor Maxine Minx, who will stop at nothing to become a star.
After surviving the merciless massacre on the set of her 1979 X-rated feature, Maxine looks onwards and upwards as she bats for a starring role in the latest slasher flick The Puritan II. But just as Maxine gets her big break, the bodies of starlets start piling up and she realises it won’t be so easy to escape her traumatic past.
With a shady private investigator (Bacon) threatening to snatch away her precious ticket to the top, a
sadistic killer on the loose and her past rearing its ugly head round every corner, Maxine must claw her way
through cults and chaos to reach the top and the stardom, she so desperately craves.
She’s a star - and now, thanks to Second Sight Films, the whole world is gonna know her name with the
